UPSC civil services prelims exam results 2016 declared

The results of UPSC civil services prelims exam results 2016 have been declared at the official website of UPSC. Candidates will be able to check the UPSC CS Prelims merit list online. Aspirants are required to go through the merit list. Aspirants were eagerly awaiting for the results to be declared for the exam conducted on August 7, 2016. The results declared for the CS prelims exams candidates for the candidates is provisional. Now that the results have been declared, the detailed application form needs to be filled. The official website of UPSC states that all the qualified candidates need to fill up the DAF (CSM) online and submit the same online for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2016 to be held from Saturday, December 3, 2016. The DAF (CSM) will be available on the website of the Commission from October 7, 2016 to October 20, 2016 till 6.P.M. The Civil Services Examination (CSE) is one of the most competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various Civil Services of the Government of India. Those who clear the prelims, main exam and group discussion are recruited to e Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Revenue Service (IRS) among others. Candidates are tested on the candidate’s knowledge on current events, history of India and Indian national movement, Indian and world geography, Indian polity and governance, economic and social development, environmental ecology, biodiversity, climate change and general science. The Paper II of UPSC civil services prelims exam tests the candidates’ skills in comprehension, interpersonal skills, communication, logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision making, problem solving, basic numeracy, data interpretation, English language comprehension skills and mental ability.
